Elizabeth Radliff of Oaktree Pottery

I've worked and played with clay off and on for over 30 years. I vividly remember the first time I watched an art teacher in high school make a pot on the wheel. I was inspired - what a useful and beautiful thing to be able to do!

Functional beauty - pottery that looks, feels and performs in a pleasing way - is my ultimate aim. I'm very grateful to be able to make a variety of pottery from stoneware and earthenware clays in the studio next to my home in Waldo County, Maine.

Monica McCaw

I am from Medellin, Columbia and I moved to Maine since 2010. I took my first pottery class at The Art of Clay Studio in March 2019. Since then I become a member of the studio and I love working with clay. I combine my hobby with my profession as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer and both provide fulfillment and realization to my life. I love creating small format pieces for jewelry. My specialty is essential oil diffuser necklaces, leaving the back of the pendant unglazed so that the clay absorbs the essential oil for aromatherapy. I also love making mini-dishes. I promote my work thru Alfareria Pottery Studio oon Facebook and Instagram.
